Our story
We begin with Dan, a humble farmhand, and Lily, a spirited young woman who came to realise despite her initially dismissive attitude, she loved the lowly (and hugely hunky) servant. However, as she debated confessing her adoration, Dan left to seek his fortune, with news soon arriving that his ship had been attacked by the Dread Pirate Roberts. This particular pirate never leaves survivors - meaning our Groom is surely dead! Believing Dan gone, a grieving Lily eventually became engaged to the scheming Prince Humperdinck (not hunky), though she longed for Dan.
Before the wedding to Humperdinck, Lily was kidnapped by a trio of outlaws: Vizzini, a self‑proclaimed genius, Fezzik, a gentle giant and Inigo Montoya, a master swordsman seeking revenge against the six‑fingered man who killed his father. A mysterious masked man pursued and defeated them one-by-one, revealing himself to be Dan, alive and now the new (and improved) Dread Pirate Roberts. He swiftly rescued Lily, but they were soon captured by Humperdinck and his brutish enforcer - Count Rugen - the very man Inigo had hunted for years.
Dan was almost tortured to death, but Inigo and Fezzik revived him and the three infiltrated the castle to stop the wedding. Inigo finally confronted and defeated Rugen, avenging his father. Dan bluffed his way through a final encounter with Humperdinck, rescuing Lily. The promise of future adventure ensued…
Of course, this is not our story. It’s the plot of genre classic The Princess Bride, with our names crudely inserted over a stock summary. Despite this obvious deception, we assure you, dear reader, that this is infinitely more interesting than the tale of two people falling in love via a dating app (which is the truth of the matter). In fact, you should probably go and procure a copy of The Princess Bride right now. This website can wait. Go on, it’s available for rental from all major streamers.
See you back here in 98 minutes.
Belfast is a pretty lively city with two major airports, Belfast International (35-minute drive to City Centre) and George Best City Airport (5-minute drive to City Centre). There are a range of flights from across the UK into both, but we do recommend booking sooner rather than later.
Belfast has a decent Uber system, some taxis (though these are growing ever more limited and expensive) and modest Bus and train infrastructures. It should be noted that transport (Taxi and Uber excepted) does not run overly late in Belfast. Translink, the main purveyor of public transport, generally wrap up services around 11pm.
The museum is very close to the City Centre, which is where we’d advise people try to secure accommodation. There are a healthy range of quality hotels in walking/5-minute drive radius.
It is worth noting that the museum is located near the University area, and early September brings the promise of Freshers. As a result, we would strongly caution against booking in Stranmillis or The Holy Lands on this occasion. These areas are very close, but due to the
influx of enthusiastic (and wrote) new students, are likely to be noisy at night.
As with every city, some areas of Belfast are safer and more comfortable than others. If you have any questions or concerns, please
just get in touch and we can advise per your requirements.

We encourage you to dress to impress! However, your comfort is the most important thing. Ultimately, we don’t mind what you wear as long as it makes you happy. We probably draw the line at a Mankini, though.
-
Your presence truly is our present, so please do not feel obliged to give gifts. However, if you would like to, a small contribution towards our honeymoon in 2027 would be fab

Due to venue capacity, we have restricted numbers during the day, meaning that we can only have those named on the invites for the ceremony and meal. However, we're much less restricted once food has concluded and would love to see additional faces for the party. If you'd like to request a plus one post-meal, just drop us a line

We plan to keep this an adult-only day. If you have concerns about this, please do get in touch.

If you can please let us know if you can come by the end of April that would be amazing
